FOUNDATION - CONCEALER

FOUNDATION COLOR
Foundation color should match the tone of neck & jaw line. The object is to match the foundation color to your face not the other way round. To determine your correct foundation color, apply some of it in natural day light to the side of your face. Blend it in down towards your chin and compare it your neck area. Once you have found the correct color apply a light of it on your forehead, cheeks & chin. Make sure you don't apply too much or you will end up in a mask effect rather then natural effect. You can always repeat the process if you need more coverage. It’s better to apply less in the beginning. Spread the foundation across the face using a sponge. Sponges have various blending edges. Use the edges to blend foundation until most of it is disappeared. To avoid lines between the makeup & bare skin, blend the foundation under the chin & down to neck. Finally use face powder to set the foundation. Use dabbing movements to avoid smudging the foundation & powder together.

CONCEALER
Concealer works magically to give your face bright fresh look by revealing dark areas in perfection. It is best to use a concealer two tones lighter then your skin tone. Blend it under your eyes to deal with any darkness or shadow that sometimes appear as dark circles and make your eyes look tired. Smooth on under the eyes, blending from the inner corner and outwards. Blending concealer underneath the inside corners of your eyes giving them luminosity and glow. Smooth it around the base of the nose, concentrating on the lines either side of the nose. It is important that you blend the concealer well and work it perfectly into your skin to ensure you achieve an invisible effect. You can use sponge or your fingers to apply the concealer faster but brushes are easier to use in small areas where you need to be exact.

CONTOURING
Contouring is a technique where high lighting and shading are blended carefully to enhance the bone structure of your face. This gives your face a more sculptured three dimension feel. Use a powder that is two tones darker then your skin tone. Contouring your eye area opens up your eyes and brings them forward. Apply a lighter tone to your eye lid. Apply a darker tone to the crease of your eye socket. It is best to start with a very little of dark powder, so is to avoid too much. Then you can just keep adding more until the required darkened effect is achieved. Blend the two shades in to make the look more natural and smooth. Contouring your cheek bones helps to slim your face. First suck your cheeks in to define the hollow areas of your cheeks. Then apply the darker tone powder under your cheek bones into the hollows. Blend it in using semi circular movements. To slim or narrow your face, apply contouring powder to the sides of your face. Begin at the temple, and then follow down through your jaw lines.
